Penny Dell Daily Crossword App Reviews

Been using crossword apps since he days of early PDAs on everything from PDAs to PCs, tablets, phones of all sorts. Just never happy with either the UI or the content. This one is a great mix of all. Wonderful usability and great content. Only wish is that there would be more specials to include packs of puzzles. The content here is a bit more expensive than other ones Ive used.

In the easy puzzle for February 27, 2017 a definition is for an inventor whose name has three letters with the last two being "LI". My answer was "ELI" which shows as wrong. The answer wanted is "ALI". Unless my history fails me ELI WHITNEY was the inventor of the Cotton Gin.

I understand the need for ads in order to have "free" games, but wow! Any time I changed from one puzzle to another I had to watch a 30 second ad. If I put my iPad down to check on something (kids, cats, dinner, laundry), I had to watch another 30 second ad. If I blinked my eyes more than 10 times well thats another 30 second ad. I finally had to just delete this app. Im sure Ill have to watch another ad just to be able to remove the app. Moving on....oh crap, another ad!!

After age 80.....its nice to exercise your mind and the crosswords really help....thank you.

The different levels are nice to have. The length of the ads can be distracting.

Great!!! Ive always loved crossword puzzles and this allows me to play without having to use a pen and fumble with a book.

Just challenging enough, on hard level. Fun!

Love this but....when you go to the ad it freezes and you cant move on! Ive cancelled and then waited and gotten again . Still same problem. Surely Im not the only one with this problem? If there is some magical way to unfreeze the ad... please tell me.

Love crosswords and this is one of the best apps for it!

Today, I have gotten ads between puzzles that are way too loud, despite having my sound turned off. There is absolutely no volume control at all. Both were prescription medication ads.

App works well, good hints, optional "cheating", a good anti-boredom strategy for those with no patience for doing nothing.

This is a great app if you like crosswords. The daily puzzle is free and there are selections of other puzzles to fit your budget. Loads of fun!

This is my second go round with this app. It froze up the first time and I couldnt play and then when I could there was a delay. So far so good this time

This app is just a bunch of ads. If you need a hint, if you want to show wrong words... abd the ads are usually 30 seconds long! Horrible! ??

This is fun. EASY for me because Im in for the fun not to prove something, easy because you can catch on quickly, much better than the books because I was only doing the right side. Words are better than numbers (Sudoku) although Im still a fan.

The easy version was fun to play with my seven year old granddaughter and helped her with her spelling.

Just too little puzzles for the money!

Great crosswords. Love that I can get hints for letters or entire words. Also love that I can pick different skill levels.

I love puzzles...and I love this app! I like that it has easy, medium and hard puzzles to choose from. Lora of fun!
